Quick start:
Inertia Fit is built for lifting with friends. While the tracker stays out of your way with fast logging and smart features, the real value is staying connected with your crew:
Different gyms, different cities, different schedules—same crew.
There are several ways to build your crew:
Send a friend request and once accepted, you'll see each other's workouts in your activity feed.
Your Crew is your dashboard for staying connected with your lifting friends. It shows:
The activity feed shows updates from you and your friends:
See exactly what your friends are lifting without having to ask.
Granular controls let you decide what's visible:
Share what you want, keep private what you don't.
Joint workouts let you train "together" with a friend even when you're not at the same gym. Start a joint session and:
You can see when friends are lifting right now and join their session, or invite them to yours.
When you see a friend's workout post in your activity feed, tap the "Try" button. Their exact sets and weights become your target—a built-in challenge to match or beat what they did.
It's a great way to push yourself and add some friendly competition to your training.
Challenges are based on a workout you've completed:
Similar to trying a friend's workout, but with a dedicated leaderboard for that challenge. All competition features are optional.
Leaderboards track different aspects of training so everyone has a chance to shine:
All leaderboard metrics can be filtered by time period—rolling week, calendar week, or month.
The workout system follows a structured approach:
The app includes a comprehensive exercise library with muscle groups, equipment types, and exercise classifications. You can also create your own custom exercises to add to your personal library.
PRs are tracked per exercise and include:
PR badges appear on your workout history and workout details screens so you can instantly see when you've hit a new record. View all your PRs in the Exercise Stats screen.
The 1RM (one-rep max) estimate calculates your theoretical maximum weight for a single rep based on your logged sets. It's calculated using the Epley formula and can be found in the PR section of Exercise Stats.
This helps you understand your true strength potential for each exercise without needing to actually attempt a max lift.
Comparisons help you track progress at two levels:
Exercise Stats gives you deep insights into each exercise:
Access Exercise Stats by tapping on any exercise from the workout details page.
During workout tracking, each exercise has an expandable "Your Previous" section that shows the last time you performed that specific exercise.
It displays your previous reps and weights so you know exactly what to beat. This makes progressive overload easy - just aim to do a little more than last time!
Yes! When creating or editing an exercise, you can choose between rep-based or time-based tracking.
Time-based tracking is great for exercises like planks, wall sits, farmer's carries, and other holds or timed movements. You'll log time and weight instead of reps and weight.
When creating a split, you can choose from pre-built templates with all workouts and exercises already configured:
You can also browse community templates created by other users—real programs from real lifters.
